Is it possible this way that a customer who registers the domain or a service gets an auto message in their Whatsapp and renewal notice also in the whatsapp.
That would be a great feature, maybe can link with whatsapp business?
Since whats app has now allowed some API to do so after releasing whatsapp for business , this should be implemented . Ihave seen some companies doing business other than hosting are using it!
This is a feature that can really reduce missed notifications.
this would be a good feature for a module. maybe not directly in whmcs :)

Please WHMCS, Add this feature. It would be really great feature. We will no longer need to depend on SMS system.
Please consider a choice of (safer) notification options: signal, wire, telegram, threema.
I fully agree with this feature.
Would save a lot of late paid invoices and missed notifications.
Now its 34. Seems interest is increasing. Hope WHMCS will implement in next release.
This would be a great feature for WHMCS and will help with the amount of overdue invoices etc.
I am also intrested in this feature if i may not get this than i can make this . after a month maybe . as a module just like SMS service .
I would be very intrested in this too
I would be extremely interested in this how soon would this be ready?
With only 41 votes I dont think WHMCS will even look at this , I love the idea and have voted in hope

With Twilio it could be really easy :D
Like alott of other feature requests that are awesome...just add this, go with the time and make whmcs stand out....whmcs is way to basic at this point...whatsapp is already used for many years by alott of people.

I also need this feature
Would be really helpful.
Thanks for your requests and comments here.
Our team has been researching what we can do with WhatsApp and have come back with the following potential points of concern:
1. WhatsApp say they restrict the number of businesses that have access to the WhatsApp API (Reference: https://faq.whatsapp.com/en/26000171/?category=5245235), and that access to the API is restricted to Medium and Large businesses only. What have your experiences been in relation to this?
2. Twilio may be an easier path for getting access, albeit Paid access with per message sending costs, however, Twilio states that use must adhere to the WhatsApp Commerce Policy. The WhatsApp Commerce Policy states that WhatsApp Messaging cannot be used by businesses that transact in the sale of, including renewals and upgrades, of digital content, digital subscriptions, or digital accounts (Reference: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/commerce-policy/). We believe that web hosting would fall under this category. What are your experiences related to this?
Thanks for your feedback!
Telegram seems to have much more relaxed rules on API use:
Telegram might be a better option than WhatsApp, please will you look into it WHMCS Team.
Basically bring https://whmcs.community/topic/290845-whmcs-notify-extended-stop-relying-on-emails-for-client-area-notifications/ to the core of WHMCS
due to the whatsapp policy being very complicated, you could also receive via SMS, invoices due, and some other notifications, SMS would only use whoever you want but it would be a good resource too.
Yes, I also believe telegram is the way to go with that. We already use it for admin notification.
Sigh .. who in their right mind would down vote this one? /facepalm
