The sidebar search interface should perform the same function as the View-Search Clients interface –meaning Client-Company Name search unlike its current function -to use the dropdown to select client name or client company.

The search tool on the View/Search Clients page was just updated to 7.6, I'm glad to hear you like it! We can certainly look to roll that out to other search interfaces if we receive more positive feedback from users.
