Tax field for Brazil (CPF / CNPJ)

1 - Our company will serve clients from different parts of the world in this project, but we have a branch in Brazil, so in order to meet local taxation requirements we need to capture data regarding Brazilian taxation:
- CPF (Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas), a document of an ordinary citizen.
- CNPJ (National Registry of Legal Entities), duly constituted Brazilian company.
2 - This field should only appear if the person registers with a Brazilian address.
3 - I tried to implement it with custom fields, but I don't know how to display it only when it's a customer with a Brazilian address.
4 - Is this the best approach?
