Description:
I would like to request an enhancement to WHMCS that allows administrators to prevent attachments from being included in email notifications sent to clients.
Problem Statement:
Currently, when a support ticket is raised and includes an attachment, the attachment is automatically sent to the client via email. For privacy and security reasons, many organizations prefer not to send attachments through email, instead opting to have clients access these attachments directly through the support portal.
Proposed Solution:
Add a configurable option in the email template settings or client account that allows administrators to exclude attachments from client email notifications. This setting would ensure that clients receive notification of the new ticket or update but would need to log in to the support portal to view and download attachments.
Benefits:
- Enhanced Security: Reduces the risk of sensitive attachments being intercepted or accessed by unauthorized parties via email.
- Improved Privacy: Ensures that confidential information is only accessible through the secure environment of the WHMCS support portal.
- User Control: Provides administrators with more control over what information is shared via email.
Conclusion:
Implementing this feature would greatly enhance the security and privacy of client communications in WHMCS, aligning with best practices for handling sensitive information.
Thank you for considering this feature request.
