Nominet registrar module to support domain locking

Back in 2021, Nominet UK added new EPP status fields for .uk domains, allowing them to be locked by the client. I would like to see the registrar module updated to support this functionality and allow clients to lock their domains, just like they can with others.
I tried to develop my own module to achieve this, but the menu item never showed for it in the client area and I was told in support ticket #QGW-484978 that their is a restriction for the registrar lock option on .uk domains within the core of WHMCS.
I'd love to see this restriction lifted and the module updated to support locking.
