Very quietly Webpros is going to drop support for WHMCS 9.x to use Google mail as the delivery provider for system emails.
It only mentioned on the 'Release Notes' page https://docs.whmcs.com/releases/9-0/9-0-release-notes/#google-as-mail-provider
Its not mentioned on the 'Release Highlights' page https://docs.whmcs.com/releases/9-0/9-0-release-highlights/
Or the 'Change Log' page 'https://docs.whmcs.com/releases/9-0/9-0-change-log/'
And the new documentation page https://docs.whmcs.com/9-0/system/email/mail-providers/
Just silently has removed all references of prior support of Google as a mail provider.

I can confirm that Google, as an Email System Provider, is available in our 9 Series GA

Basically, we use OAuth 2.0 in our product and have removed basic auth in line with best practices for Google and similar providers on this.
