Hi there,
Thanks for your votes and suggestions so far. As an immediate solution, the Close Ticket button can be removed from the client area to prevent clients from self-closing tickets.
I've attached an example (provided strictly as-is, without warranty or support) which can achieve this in WHMCS v7.
To use, unzip the attached file and upload to the /includes/hooks directory.

This is all starting to getting boring. Everywhere I turn on the WHMCS site or forums all you see is negative comments. Think I may just stay away for a good couple of months to see if anyones niceness returns.
Also I'm quite appalled at how some of my fellow web hosts have handled themselves on this site. I would love to have a look at the customer service they offer.
See you guys again if this forum/site ever becomes friendly again
There is a Frequently Asked Questions widget on the side of every page on our Feature Request system. It outlines how many votes you get, and how WHMCS is processing those requests internally. Votes as well are not the sole weight of a Feature Request, a good idea with one vote may make it in.
(P.s: Its not my fault, last year one of WHMCS staff told me in forum that I need more support for adding my feature.)
Another point will be tickets from the Billing Department, eg. requesting for verification documents, incorrect billing details, etc.
