Stop Clients Closing Tickets

I think it would be a great idea if we can stop clients closing certain tickets.

For example I would like to stop clients closing tickets that have been opened internally by our abuse department. We normally set these tickets to a custom status and monitor. We would like to only close these internally when we see fit.My idea could be implemented on a ticket by ticket basis or department wide.Discuss below and let me know what you you think of my idea.

I think that we should have this assigned to a status and not on per ticket level. When creating a custom status we can choose this as an option equal to not autoclose ticket.
I think that this feature should be implemented but keep under each admin consideration to enable it in their installation. At least, I would like to receive a notification when Clients close a ticket.
Hi,

This is all starting to getting boring. Everywhere I turn on the WHMCS site or forums all you see is negative comments. Think I may just stay away for a good couple of months to see if anyones niceness returns.

Also I'm quite appalled at how some of my fellow web hosts have handled themselves on this site. I would love to have a look at the customer service they offer.

See you guys again if this forum/site ever becomes friendly again
Kunnu,

There is a Frequently Asked Questions widget on the side of every page on our Feature Request system. It outlines how many votes you get, and how WHMCS is processing those requests internally. Votes as well are not the sole weight of a Feature Request, a good idea with one vote may make it in.

Sorry, I was think feature request can't be accepted until you get 50 to 100 votes.

(P.s: Its not my fault, last year one of WHMCS staff told me in forum that I need more support for adding my feature.)

I have the same view as you when it comes to ticket from the Abuse Department where clients should not be allowed to close by themselves.

Another point will be tickets from the Billing Department, eg. requesting for verification documents, incorrect billing details, etc.

Agreed.
