improve username creation

When creating usernames, the only option is a random name or the first 8 chars of the domain.
This is so outdated now.

When creating products/services, It really needs to be the entire domain BEFORE the TLD that is used, which is more logical and easier to remember.

Totally agree, the username thing is so frustrating! It feels like a throwback to the early internet. It's even worse when you're trying to build a brand! You nailed it on the domain point too. Trying to remember shortened domain names is like playing agario and suddenly getting eaten after you've grown so big – utter disappointment! I swear, sometimes I just play a quick round or two to de-stress from remembering all these weird names and logins.

Okay, I totally get where you're coming from! It's frustrating when username options feel so limited and outdated. It reminds me of playing Doodle Baseball, actually. You know, you're trying to time that perfect swing, and sometimes you whiff completely! But each miss helps you learn the timing a little better. Same with learning or building something new - it's not always a home run on the first try.

Okay, username woes, we meet again! Truly, digital identity struggles are real. I mean, is originality truly dead in this internet age? Back in the day, a game registration process left me baffled. Remember that Slither io craze? Trying to snag a cool moniker felt like pulling teeth, with all the bots and taken names. A truly aggravating experience which reminded me to not give up easily. This article nails it; we need more innovative approaches to username creation.

The newest racing game for motorcycles, Moto X3m, has a ton of awesome features. https://motox3m2.io
Regarding product/service names, I agree – using the full domain (before the TLD) provides much better context and is more intuitive. It's a usability issue. Maybe they could even integrate some fun easter eggs, like a Moto X3M inspired loading screen? Just a thought! https://motox3mfree.com/
Hi Russ,
Thanks for taking the time to submit this suggestion.
Can you help us understand what problem or limitation you are experiencing as a result of usernames being based upon the first 8 characters of the domain + unique ID number in the case of duplicates.
it's just simple logic and common sense really.

If your business name is "Acme Widgets Limited" and your domain is acmewidgets.com , what makes more sense and it easier for clients to remember?

1. acmewidg
or
2. acmewidgets

especially since this username gets used for everything.... whmcs, FTP, cpanel etc
