As a WHMCS Operator I would like the ability to whitelist specific IP address' to avoid my IP address being banned for failed login attempts.
It is a very needed feature. But please try to allow us to add ranges. For example, we have a /24 for our support operators, so, it will be nice if we can whitelist x.x.x.0/24.
Its very annoying to have my own IP banned with one incorrectly typed password!
This is a MUST feature!
Can you also include the ability to look up hostnames, as I used dyndns to maintain a hostname as my IP can shift dramaticly...
This is a must and I am glad others agree.
There is a plugin that does this via a cron that runs once a minute to remove a list of whitelisted IP's. The longest a ban last is 60 seconds.
Basic whitelist for single ip is all thats needed.
I notice this feature request is marked as "Completed". Does this mean that it's been implemented?
There's no mention of whitelisting capability yet in the documentation that I can find:
http://docs.whmcs.com/Security/Ban_Control
http://docs.whmcs.com/FAQs
Where is the whitelisting feature?
It seems to be under:
Admin area -> Setup -> General -> Security tab -> Whitelisted IPs
But IPs are not being banned for invalid login attempts.
So using the Whitelisted IPs option would not benefit folks whose IP's are banned while creating an account or after being logged in?
