client area responsive template
Thanks for all your votes on this request, it certainly sticks in my mind as a popular subject in support tickets. The new "Six" template is more than just a responsive re-make of the previous template, we've added great new features to; like the notifications centre, better search and filtering of products/domains and the ability for modules to control the menu and page contents!
WHMCS, iWHMCS, aWHMCS, mobile etc. frontend and backend should be consolidated into a single Responsive theme.
To clarify; this means that WHMCS would work on ANY system, including all Mobile devices, out of the box, without needing 3-4 applications for multi-client support. This would both simplify the development of WHMCS, which would free the team up to develop other important features and functionality, as well as improve the product for all existing clients.
I think this is an absolute must have, and would be very simple to implement.
+1 on this.
I was JUST looking at a 3rd party theme, which looks great but not mobile. Not even considering themes that aren't responsive and mobile friendly at this point for my WHMCS!
Besides that the iWHMCS and aWHMCS are not engadged 100% with all the features, You CAN NOT use the PM Addon in any of those apps. You can not use the CRM addon (For example) in any of this apps.
This would require a complete overhaul of the whmcs template system.
The client and admin side use two entirely seperate templates. The back end admin side I feel is great from an administratice point of view. But it is not one that i would want my clients to have to work with.
If this were to be implemented i feel it should be two separate themes, one for the front end one for the back end.
I have not customised my admin area other than the security measures and i have no intention of doing so. But i have customised the front end and will continue to improve and expand upon it.
Im not really sure what purpose this would serve to be fair. The applications have their purposes on the admin side for the right devices with the mobile and web version covering the remaining devices.
Other than the obvious simplifying of the system, IE, only one login point, no need for extra applications (which many of us have already paid for) i cant see the how it would make a major difference?
I cant say i want staff to be constantly "mobile" its useful in its own way but not a complete solution and i don't believe that it is meant to be.
CDJ Hosting brought up a good one.
Admin template can stay the way it is, or at least not be merged with the client template.
iWHMCS, aWHMCS, mobile can be consolidated into a good, solid, mobile theme with ongoing support and development by WHMCS.
This is a must have! Any business that has not gone mobile by now is lagging behind.
The thing is that if you have a mobile admin template you can use the AddOns on the go, If I use the PM addon istead og Things or Omni focus or something else, a mobile templtlate is a very good solution to really use those addons with your phone.
If not, the only thing that can be done is a really good api to sync the addons with real mobile apps.
If we can formulate a clear idea of what we want from the template then i will add my vote to it, Responsive is obvious. But we need to be very clear that this is done correctly there is no point in doing half a job.
This is a no brainer. Anything web based should simply work really well on all major browsers on all major devices. It's just a form 'cross browser and cross device compatibility'.
For example, all self-respecting Joomla templates these days automatically have a built-in mobile friendly template that you don't need to pay extra for.
Please add this to your list WHMCS. Simply charge a bit more for WHMCS licences to cover the extra hours if you need to.
I think that regarding the profit that WHMCS gets from the script, it should have a better (or the best) mobile/tablet app or responsive template for mobile devices.
Ok. I can tell that the latest default template is better that the previous versions, but the design for mobile devices is a mess.
Im in progress of changing our website so WHMCS will be implemented into the same layout with bootstrap.
You should consider make the mobile apps and the whole mobile template more responsive and close-to-the-level of WHMCS, that should already have.
responsive is a must in 2014
Working on a bootstrap 3 template for WHMCS Front End :) Hope to finish it in 1 month. Maybe i will make a new bootstrap 3 template back-end but i think it will be hard, backend is encoded... -.-
Desktop (Dutch language WHMCS):
Mobile (Dutch language WHMCS):
It's been 6 months which is long enough for WHMCS to consider this feature request.
WHMCS staff - can you please post to tell us your plans/thoughts in relation to this feature request. Otherwise people may be wasting their time discussing it for months, and the discussion may eventually get off track.
Definitly need a responsive admin theme, not really an option if the system wants to progress with technology.
A must for evey online business. It should not go to m.yourdomain.com for a mobile site. The main clientzone should be resonsive and adapt to the screensize of the user.
Admin side can stay as is.
I would love to have something stylish, easy for users to access and understand..
Yeah. Please check to HostBill, these templates are excellent: http://hostbillapp.com/hostbill/clientmanagement/clientareatour/
The design of WHMCS is old
It's to complicated to use Bootstrap... Jason in 9 months it's almost imposibile to download bootstrap and to adapt the main template (client/admin) (it's a joke, a bad one... and it's a shame). In my optinion there is no interest for that from WHMCS, even the actual mobile version is outdated, not a single DOT was added or polished. Do not discouss about Android and iOS Apps, you better go and download SDKs and do it yourself.
We need responsive Admin theme that's for sure! WHMCS why don't respond regarding this? Give us your roadmap on the issue please!!!
OMG - This is in progress!
Thanks to WHMCS!
It should have implemented a year ago, but it's better late than never.
NOTE - A responsive design/template should *not* be a seperate/extra cost for us. It should be included as part of the WHMCS purchase/subscription cost.
I'm looking forward to see this responsive theme in action!
Is a Good news. I want to see my WHMCS admin responsive some time ago!
Definate vote from me for admin responsive template. I wonder if WHMCS will respond? Unless I have perhaps missed something in the comms?
I need a responsive client template, really do. lack of in this day in age is just silly. it needs to be included in WHMCS existing price. One alternative is to use 'Bootstrap + Font Awesome (BootWHMCS)' but my only concern is the code is not from WHMCS, it's third party made. What about security concerns of using a creditcard.tpl for example that was made by someone outside of whmcs. Who knows what could be coded in there and seen as i pay for a license, i expect it to be secure and third party templates will be never be officially ok'd by whmcs. The web is now responsive, if you have a site that isn't you may as well shut up shop. simple as that. whmcs is a fantastic system but as with cpanel developers, they seem stuck in the early 1990's on design and style and i'm sick of it to be honest. get with it whmcs! Cheers!
Google is now scanning websites and handing out penalties for mobile usability issues. WHMCS templates are not fully responsive, forcing us to buy ones which are. They should be. Google is now making it a standard expect feature in all websites, to have fully resposive web design, view port configured, tap targets sized correctly etc, for 100% good user experience.
A responsive template for WHMCS has been 'in progress' now for 5 months.
WHMCS - WAKE UP!!!
It's not 2005 any more! People actually use their phones to surf the net, sign up to things, and pay their bills.
As web developers, if we produced anything web based in 2015 that isn't responsive, we'd be out of business very fast.
Get WHMCS responsive URGENTLY!!!
