Pre-filling country code (editable field) based on selected country in telephone field at register and signup forms.

WHMCS already automatically prefixes the country code to phone numbers before passing them to domain registrars so is the aim of this just to stop users entering their own in the order form?

This is really a must have.

Country code should also be shown automatically on every page on admin and client side.

Agreed. It is very important to prevent any issues with Maxmind and domain registration as many clients tend to include the country code when filling up their phone number.

You should add separate country code field in front of the phone number on every place on client side with some JavaScript. For example during order proces there should be a country code filed in front of the phone number field, and when client choose country it should automatically fill the country code in the small field in front of the phone number field.

Without that al most every client is currently entering country code in phone number field, and than phone with country code is again prefixed with country code on domain registration, which is not the disirable effect, and domains can not be registered with invalid number that is double prefixed with country code.

The same is for client panel, and "My Details" page where phone prefix should be automatically filled in separate field in front of the phone number.

That country code field should probably be locked by default.

Also, this is may cause problems with maxmind fraud protection in some cases.

I forgot to add that separate country code field should also exist on admin side.

Beside problems with domain registration and maxmind, this is also important for our staff. Now we can't really see the full phone number with country code, anywhere on admin side, if number is entered without country code, and we have to google the country code to be able to call clients in another country.

It's not convinient for our staff and it's not obvious for the clients, because clients have no way to know that country code will be added later on domain registration and fraud checks, so this is just a bad solution that currently cause a lot of issues.

Yes the goal is to prevent users from entering the country code.

Dexus's suggestions are what I have in mind as well.

My customers who reside in a different country are filling in their telephone number with the country code included unknowingly (to all of us) that the code gets automatically added in afterwards. However the problem that creates is it actually lets them fill it in incorrectly and then leaves their orders in Pending for me to manually go through and change it.

Great idea from WHMCS to automatically add it in, however I don't find this is a feature that works. If you want to let people enter in their telephone number, they are most likely to enter it in with the country code and they don't know that there is anything wrong with that, as the form actually allows them to! Basic changes could make this automatic setup system much easier.

Agree with comments above on adding in a separate country code field, even a drop down menu for it.

This is not working in my case with Namecheap. Automatic provisioning fails because of this. I had to manually update clients profile to be successful.
