Being able to handle 3dSecure via API to meet the new PSD2 requirements. Currently this is not possible, we currently use the APIs and Hooks in a custom shopping cart to meet our requirements and this would be nice to have before September 14th when it becomes a banking requirement in the EU

Stripe has also made a guide about the migration to include SCA:

Does WHMCS have any plans on meeting the PSD2 requirements for Credit Card payments?
Hi Max,
Yes we are currently working with payment gateway partners as they complete their technical implementation, with the intention to begin implementing 3DSecure v2 once the details are finalized.
The current expectation is to update gateways which currently support 3D Secure v1 in the native cart and client area.
We do not currently plan to make this available via the API.
Hi there,
Thanks for your suggestion. What would be the technical needs be for you to meet this requirement?
Please see here as this is very important! Your own partner posted this: https://gocardless.com/blog/sca-strong-customer-authentcation/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter&utm_campaign=uk_partner_jan19
Does SCA apply to GoCardless?
SCA does not apply to payments taken through GoCardless. This is because Direct Debit payments are ‘payee-initiated’ and SCA only applies to payer-initiated payments.
