How can we improve WHMCS?

Indeed, that's why we *don't* want renewal reminders sent -- we *only* want expired notifications to be sent to make it clear that the domain has expired and so the customer can take action should they have not wanted that.

If we enable that, then the customer is reminded to *pay* for renewal, as you indicated. However if they only receive expiry notifications, they're reminded to check on their account to see why it expired. Plus doesn't ICANN require notices about expiry to be sent regardless of how the customer pays for the domain?

Yeah we were wondering if this was a better solution. I do think this is a good thing to add, but I also wonder if expiry notifications should be sent regardless of the above setting, just in case something goes awry with the account config (like this!)
