I propose adding a feature in the WHMCS admin panel that allows Admin/Staff users to designate a client’s domain as "premium." This functionality is particularly crucial for domains that the registry classifies as premium, such as certain four-letter domains on the .biz registry via NetEarthOne (MyOrderBox).
Problem:
Currently, there is a recurring issue where premium domains fail to renew automatically. The specific error encountered in WHMCS is: "Domain Renewal Failed - Premium confirmation parameter expected for premium domain renewal." This indicates a need for a manual confirmation of premium status at renewal, which WHMCS does not currently support.
Current Workaround:
The lack of an integrated solution requires manual intervention where an admin must log into the NetEarthOne control panel to renew the domain manually and then manually update the expiry date in WHMCS, or wait for the automated cron job to reflect the changes. This process is inefficient and prone to errors.
Requested Solution:
Integrate an option within the WHMCS admin panel to mark a domain as premium. This setting would ensure that the necessary parameters are triggered during the renewal process, streamlining operations and reducing manual workload.
This feature would significantly enhance the management of premium domains, improving the renewal process and administrative efficiency and avoiding the domain accidently expiring if the admin does not see a failed renewal or misses the failed task email.
