Invoices shouldn't get deleted upon deleting customers

We have deleted some customers that were not active anymore, but wanted to keep all the invoicing records. The invoices, of course, got deleted. Even though we deselected the delete money statements. What is going on? Also, we need to have an option on this. Thank you!
