Hello everyone,
I’d like to propose a feature enhancement related to how taxes are applied during user registration and the ordering process. Currently, I’m facing a small but important issue: some of my clients require tax-inclusive invoices, while others do not. This is because not all of them are businesses—many are independent professionals who simply need web services.
In the Dominican Republic, charging tax is not always mandatory, as it depends on the type of customer. Therefore, it’s important to have a clear and flexible option that allows each user to choose whether they want taxes applied to their orders or not.
Here’s the proposal:
During user registration: Include a checkbox or selection field where the customer can indicate if they need tax-inclusive billing.
During the checkout process: Display an option allowing users to decide whether taxes should be applied to the order.
For non-logged-in users: When browsing products or services, provide a visible toggle or option to view prices with or without tax, even before signing in or creating an account.
This functionality is essential for compliance with local tax regulations while offering a better, more personalized experience for all types of customers.
Thank you in advance for considering this request. I’m open to suggestions on how this could be implemented effectively.
