Explanation of Pro-rated charges during checkout



I would like WHMCS to provide new customers with an explanation
of the prorated charges during checkout. At least once a day we have
customers ask why the initial charge is too little/much and it would
be really great if it was possible for the checkout screen to break it
down for them. Additionally, the lack of the pro-rated info causes abandoned carts because users don't understand why the price is different than the product states

I have the same problem, the lack of the pro-rated info causes abandoned carts because users don't understand why the price is different than the product states.
For example
Today you are paying a prorated amount of $12.33 USD for service from (Aug 16 -> August 31)
This will renew on September 1st for $24.99/mo
or

Today you are paying a prorated amount of $3.22 USD for service from (Aug 28 -> August 31)
plus $24.99 for the following month of service (September 1-> September 30) for a total payment of $28.21 due today.

This will renew on October 1st at the normal rate of $24.99/mo

I hope this helps, I think many WHMCS users would love to have this feature :)

We have the same problem. We get alot of customers calling, opening sales tickets, live chats trying to understand the different totals on the page. Not sure what the answer is but we have been considering tooltips so they can mouse over a question mark for a description. Maybe some text that we can adjust to describe the different amounts.
