It's possible for users to log into their registrars account (in my case OpenSRS) independent of WHMCS and change settings like DNS management, email forwarding and contact privacy.
If a user were to change their contact privacy at the registrar level WHMCS will not be aware and synchronize that setting. When the domain name comes up for renewal WHMCS will auto bill the user for a domain renewal without contact privacy (costs $3 at the registrar) but the registrar WILL charge my account for contact privacy resulting in a loss for me.
All registrar modules need to be updated to synchronize domain extras.
