Often customers do not wish domains to be renewed. There should be a method whereby a customer can cancel the domain renewal process (and associated invoice).
We constantly get support tickets from people wanting their invoices cnacelled, or worse - part cancelled). Also we get a lot of invoices that are just ignored by the customer, which we then have to cancel.

Thanks for providing your feedback, as others have pointed out in the comments, this is already possible when auto-renew is disabled for a domain.
The reminder emails must still be sent our per ICANN regulations even if the user has indicated they do not wish to renew the domain in this way.
