It would be useful if there was an easy way customers could "reset" or "recreate" automated payment (for example via paypal). If automatic payments are not set up or cancelled by the client, there should be an easy / obvious way for them set them up again.
Included with this should be a way for customer to pay earlier than the payment due date - some customers in particular don't like the large number of email reminders, and these can imply there is no automatic payment in place if a reminder is sent before a scheduled payment (false alarms).
An extension to this would be to only send a late payment reminder if there was no active automatic payment pending within the next x days for example. Or alternatively a global / single customer reset button in the admin area which realigns automatic payments 1 day ahead of the due date to minimise the number of emails sent.
