Captcha at login form clientarea.php to avoid Bruteforce attack

smksa shared this idea 1 year ago
Completed

Hi,

Recently i noticed many attempt "BRUTEFORCE" from different IP trying to login via login form at clientarea.php page.

This has caused the server to overload and down many time.

We need to reconfigure mod_security and CSF firewall to solved this issue.

If the form having captcha , we believe this issue could be avoided.

Really appreciates if WHMCS can consider to add this feature in the next release.

Thank you.

Hi there,

Thanks for your suggestion and votes. I'm pleased to advise that in the upcoming version 7.7 release, we are doing some wider work around captcha.

This will include making captcha available on the client and admin login pages.
