Square (https://squareup.com/) is a payment processing company that has been on the rise for a while. It would be great if you could allow for them to be accepted through checkout for credit card processing.

I contacted Square about this again. The API they have available lets you read information about your sales, but you cannot make a payment online using the API.

I would also like to request this feature! Please, PLEASE add square to
the payment gateways. I am tired of paypal and their BS fees and slow
funds transfer

Please add this. :) I'm using their API on another website and it's great. And they are cheaper than PayPal.

I'll try contacting square and requesting that as a feature. Thanks for the heads up.

What about other popular ones like Stripe for example? Everyone has recommended that I use Stripe and their tagline is essentially that they offer a suite of APIs for site integration.

Would there atleast be a possibility for a Stripe Payment Processor integration then?

Square doesn't have an API that would allow this to work. Until they implement such an API there's no way to have them set up as a gateway.

You can download your credit card numbers from WHMCS for offline processing and manually enter the payments into the Square application and process them that way.
