Wrong DNS in order form

Pablo silva shared this idea 7 years ago
Under Consideration

My clients always buy domains with wrong DNS entries like "1234421" or a IP instead of correct DNS entries and when they pay for the domain I always needs to registry manually because of this problem. Just today a customer registered 102 domains with wrong DNS entries... I lost about 60min to register all domains.

Can I set something on the system to check DNS entries on the order form?

Yes, WHMCS should require a valid FQDN for nameservers during order, but it should also allow admin to change nameservers in the existing order.

You could simply hide the DNS fields in the order form and just use the defaults.

Yes, we could also hide entire WHMCS and start accepting orders by phone only... :)

This is a bug (oversight actually) that should be fixed.
