white label feature for reseller

Ritesh Kakkad shared this idea 6 years ago
Under Consideration

Reseller just need to Add code of master account but Reseller's customer can buy products using reseller's name even Reseller's customer can Post support ticket and reply should go with the name of reseller. This feature will help reseller to communicate fast with customer and resolve his problem.

That's a must for a hosting company!

you should have interrest into this module : http://www.modulesgarden.com/products/whmcs/resellers/features

I did not tried it yet, but we are currently using 2 modules from this company. Support is good, and they always fixed bugs if there are. I assume it would be the same on your side.

But : i think this would be better if it was supported directly by whmcs. I would like to add it would be very nice if there were an API reseller should use to produce modules that could work with every hosting company using whmcs.

i think it could take a few hours for modulesgarden to modify it so your customers won't see your label, and they could use a separate login. they do custom development.

Yes something like this is intriguing to me. Having a whitelabel or brandable section of WHMCS for a reseller to be able to resell my products and services under their own brand would be useful as I have affiliates now and it would provide an opportunity to bump them up to a more distinct reseller status under their own branding.

But to do it right would be a little complex I think. In that regard however, I'd see paying extra to WHMCS via my monthly rental or full price software to have the added functionality/capability which in turn would generate revenue to them for the extra programming and work and support.

Because you would want to be able to spin off a version of the software that integrates your products and provides admin functionality to the reseller. In other words, to be truly whitelabel and to provide a method for me to have more than one reseller using the software we would want a generic domain in which we could create instances of the "whitelabel" software under subdomains perhaps, eg, reseller1.generichosting.com, reseller2,generichosting.com etc.. And then, this domain would need to be able to communicate back with the main WHMCS installation with respect to products, orders, billing, support tickets, etc..

It would also need to provide a method for their version to either submit support tickets to them or to us a choice made via our main admin panel. SOme resellers might want ot do their own support some might want us to handle it "generically" (Take for example the Godaddy Pro Reseller program- it is totally whitelabel, allows the reseller to set their own pricing on the products offered but otherwise controls the product information and gives the chice of providing "whitelabel" support or not).

So Like I say, it is all very intriguing, I would find it to be of value and if WHMCS had a decent whitelabel instance i would pay extra for it.

Who will really care about paying an extra? WHMCS is the script we are using the most everyday, while it's the cheapest one!

I see no reason for whmcs to be a very cheap software if the price of the software limit the feature whmcs is providing.

I would much prefer to pay a bit more and get more features than pay less and see other hosting companies who use some other solutions, get those features.

Cheap doesn't mean quality, and you cannot always provide quality for a cheap price (that's my opinion).

You can already do this so long as you are willing to put together backend code for your resellers to use, You just need to hook into the API, Basically its a full front end rewrite for your resellers, I would suggest using the licensing module with it so you can restrict access.

I would really like to see this... I have been testing the one from ModulesGarden and its just not up to par... and with me being in the US and them in Poland it's to hard to get good support...

I would like to see even the reseller have their own template and use all the WHMCS systems being white label of course. I would see this being a mod for sale...
