Project Management Reporting

Under Consideration

We've got 2 areas the PM addon is lacking. Due to this, billing for projects takes hours instead of minutes.

1. Currently, when we pull Project Management Project Time Logs at reports.php?report=project_time_logs, we don't have a column showing the date a project was worked on. We have:

Project Name

Task Name

Total Time

Basically, one column listing dates for this report would be very helpful.

2. PM reports allow us to filter by staff member, but not by project. We have no easy way to pull up a time report for one client and list all dates, times and staff members that worked on a project for one client.

While the PM summary allows for a drill down at reports.php?report=project_summary, or we can click a project ID for one client, there's still no easy breakdown showing:

Client

Project Name

Task Name

Task Dates were worked on

Times spent on each task

Employee(s) names and times spent for each task

The biggest issue with the current filtering system is that for Project Summary, projects can only be filter by due date. This doesn't help if we are billing monthly and/or billing against what they've already paid. We do not need to know the lifetime of the projects' hours. We need to be able to pull data for specific dates the project was actually worked on.

Would love this feature too as we have the same problems you describe.

Hi,

There is no need to ask for specific report,

I think that the best option is to create a report generator that will enable us to create any report we want.

Please add your vote here:

Thanks!

Oh this would be heaven. I don't get out much, but boy the Project Managment addon would be so much MORE fun if it had some of this functionality. Especially the reporting aspect. It's time this module was improved.

I'm really surprised and sad this is still an issue. Yes, we can copy paste and play with formatting in a spreadsheet... but still, that's the opposite of efficient.
