I agree. I have had several clients who have asked for Google Wallet functionality and as someone who is converting people (mainly outside the hosting industry) from clunky solutions to WHMCS - this is a bit of a killer not having support for Google Wallet. It's a great service and as a previous request was shelved by a WHMCS representative, Google have changed their terms of service and hosting and other goods are now supported within Google Wallet. There is no good reason why this should not be supported - even if you wanted to be really annoying and not support it directly as far as I am aware Stripe do have the ability to handle this for merchants. But I should expect that it would be nice to have Google Wallet, to remain as the industry leader in innovative billing (could lead to people moving from other platforms)

1 year flown by and it's still marked as 'Under Consideration', hard to believe.

Hi there,

Thanks for this suggestion. Google Pay operates through several different payment gateways, each is implemented differently: https://developers.google.com/pay/api/#participating-google-pay-processors

Which of the supported gateways would you like to see implemented? If there is a consensus on that, it would be a good starting point.

Well supporting the big players from the start, would be ideal. Such as Mastercard. Braintree (Paypal), Checkout.com, GlobalPayments, Stripe, Square and Worldpay, all with more of a global reach or covering more European markets.

Not sure why Authorize.net don't support Google Pay yet.

Hi John,

I have looked at the code and the implementation for "choosing" different providers in to code is not to messy. But from the start I would start with the providers with the biggest footprint, then if you allowed us to put in hooks for others that would be even better,

Starting with Paypal/Braintree and Stripe could be a good start (my provider is not there but if you had the general hooks in place then we could tailour it.

Google Pay via Stripe would be very useful.

I would vote either via Braintree, Stripe, or Square.

Hi,

Thanks for this suggestion, your votes and comments.

We are investigating the possibility of adding Google Pay support via Stripe in v 7.8.

Stripe is best because of low commission, and recurring billing integrated already perfectly with WHMCS
