Automatic Import of Domain Pricing To WHMCS
Completed
One of the most difficult aspects of setting up WHMCS is the domain configuration.
With the advent of gTLDs, selling domain has gone from 50 to 450+.
Doing this manually is bad is every form.
With the level of integration that ENOM and OpenSRS currently have with WHMCS, there is no reason why this be this dreadful manual work.
It will be most helpful to be able to configure the pricing on either ENOM or OpenSRS side (their window and automatic price configuration make this easier than what WHMCS provides) and import this automatically to a new WHMCS setup by just filling in the username and API key.
Please do consider making this side of WHMCS easier.
Thanks!
Or maybe even a way to upload via a .csv?
Not being able to easily increase my price by 'x'% over my cost from eNom is the main reason I currently only sell a small number of domains to my customers. Who has time to manually check and set prices for 400+ TLDS??? Who has time to do this every time eNom changes a price? It looks like MAYBE the module from Nerdle can help but for $40 a year, not sure. Even at $1 profit per domain, I'd have to sell 40 domains per year just to break even. Kinda hard for a small guy. Give me a way to tell WHMCS, check all eNom's prices and make mine 30% more and I would offer ALL TLDs to my customers instead of just seven. Sigh.
Yip, the idea of adding 554 domains makes me want to cry a little ... ;/
I would like to give a sidekick to this one

just because adding the API will not be forgotten :-)
Hi all,
I'm pleased to advise that we are working on this request for version 7.10!
At present the intention is to add a Utility to firstly import a list of TLDs from a domain registrar.
Then the ability to automatically import the pricing from domain registrars and set your selling prices automatically; register, renew, redemption, transfer. With the option to also set a markup on the redemption fee.
The plan at this stage is to offer the choice of a fixed amount or percentage markup over the cost price.
There would also be an option to automatically round the selling prices to a common human friendly number, thereby avoiding prices with random cent amounts.
This will launch with support for the eNom and LogicBoxes registrar modules (ResellerClub, NetEarthOne, ResellerCamp, Stargate/UK2).
Keep an eye out for the v7.10 beta in the coming weeks to give it a try and provide your feedback!
A few thoughts to this:
1. No, really. No. This is thought to short
2. This need to be a general mechanism (at least in addition!) and not only for a few pushed registrars.
3. There must be an API solution for that (add/remove domain, set pricing, change pricing), so custom solutions would be much easier.
and maybe most important:
We use percentual pricing for our custom made import module but there we use different percentages for different pricing categories.
e.g.
40% for domains up to $10
30% for domains up to $30
10% for domains up to $100
we are working with 5 pricing categories to adjust domain pricing to realistic values. If you only have one fixed percentage of e.g. 20% it is not enough for domains that costs you $5 but would be ok for a domain that costs you $50. Having more categories will solve this calc problem.
A third party module I've used module also syncs ID Protect, DNS Management, Email Forwarding and EPP Code settings from ENOM.
Hi all,
I'm pleased to announce that the 7.10 public beta is now live, featuring a new Registrar TLD Sync utility! Please test it out, and let us know your feedback during the pre-release period.
