I find very useful to set the affiliate program for domains too. Many clients asks us about revenues from the domains orders
Merged Ideas
    Affiliate Comission for Domains
We'd like to give comissions for domain reselling.Would be nice to have the option to set a Domain % to pay as commission per domain ending. We would like to give our clients the ability to resell domains and hostings. Not just hostings.
    Domain Affiliate Option requirement
hi sir,We believe on domain orders currently earn less commission - but this feature is in high demand in the market.I have some friends who provide hosting and domain, those people are resorting to 3rd party add-on due to lack of this option. No matter what the margin is, but you should give this option so that the domain provider can do its promotion well.I have found many features lacking in WHMCs. Which is really needed by everyone.1.) Domain affiliate feature not available. Due to which we are not able to promote the domain properly on the affiliate site.2.) PromoCode - new registration, renewal, transfer should do different work. - Because as much as the discount is a on new registration, the same discount cannot be given on renewal and transfer.3.) DNS management does not work properly.- For this, we have to use 3rd party Add-on system which brings more errors. - There should be something in the WHMCs DNS management so that the API system can work. Any registrar, even if one uses only domain provider, then can manage DNS direct of domain through cloudflare API from client area.4.) Premium domain availability feature not working.- If suppose the domain is available. But the domain is premium. WHMCs not properly check whether there is premium or not.

Yeah, affiliate features for domains would be huge. I have been a domain reseller with Enom for many years, and it's low margins, but it can definitely be a business. And of course if an affiliate gets any percentage, it's better than nothing for them. If an affiliate gets commissions for web hosting, I think they should definitely be able to get commissions for domains. If not, it seems like a glaring omission, and the affiliate might understandably get annoyed by that, because they're bringing web hosting business and domain registration business to me, but only getting credit for the web hosting referrals.

This issue has been brought up for me because I have a reseller who used to get commission on both selling domains and web hosting through Enom. Then Enom got rid of their web hosting offering, so I made my own separate web hosting offering, and my reseller now gets commission on the web hosting customers they've brought to me. However, my reseller still has domain customers with Enom, where they commission from. If my reseller's customers now purchase domains in their web hosting account instead of Enom, then that is directly taking business away from my reseller. If my reseller would get a domain commission like they do directly on Enom, then the issue would be solved.
This would be a very useful feature to have, not just for affiliates but also as a way to potentially track and pay sales team members commission on sales. Yes commissions on domains can be low but surely it should be up to the hosting provider to decide whether or not they want to incentivize domain sales.
Hi Michael,
Thanks for submitting this feature request.
The reason that domain orders do not currently earn commission - and that demand for this feature has been low - is that margins on domains are typically so small that the commission rate would be an insufficient incentive to affiliate marketers or eat your entire profit margin.

That said, if there is demonstrable demand for this feature, it's potentially something we can consider in future!
plenty of providers markup their domains quite a lot, such as MSP's and web deign agencies, so they have scope for reselling.
I for example markup my domains by 60% because I also include cloudflare & DNS management,
