Track Code in emails

Under Consideration

Would be great insert a track code in all delivered emails like new invoices, new services, etc. Because some clients say "I don't received any email from your company", this helps us to avoid blame.

If you use html mail, you can easy implement this with a 1px grafik, that loads from your webspace giving something like {$client_name} as a parameter like this:

<img src="http://example.com/1pxgif.gif?trackingid={$client_name}">;

and you get the tracking id into your webserver logs. You can also point to a small php script that logs something into a database/file and then returns the graphic.

The gif won´t be visible with 1px height and width but client eventually needs to allow loading. But this is the case with any tracking method.

There is now a module in the WHMCS Marketplace that tracks opened e-mails.

You can find the module here: https://marketplace.whmcs.com/product/3214

Unfortunately ALL of the addons that used to do this no longer work as developers have stopped supporting them. This is a very simple feature that is needed by ALL users no matter their industry. WHMCS should include this to their default functionality.
