Support Tickets - Add Domain Field to Filter tickets to clients
We are mainly an MSP using WHMCS to help us manage our growing help desk business.
A big problem comes when we onboard a new client and need to add all their users to our system. We do not use the default WHMCS ticket submission form nor do we require clients log into open tickets, we know our clients pretty well.
With all that said, I have seen other systems that offer the ability to map a domain name to a client so that anyone who opens a ticket with that domain then routes to the proper company.
An example is anyone @abc.com would be routed to Client ABC only if that rule is entered for them.
We also have some clients we would NOT want this feature added. An example of that is a client with a single domain but multiple locations, for which we manage each one as a separate account.
So, the option should be .... optional on a per account basis.
