Hosters.at shared this idea 6 years ago
Under Consideration

You are able to Mark Unpaid, Prinatable Version, View PDF and so on. See the Screenshot and you know what i mean...

So why is there no Button to mark the Invoice Payed?

Hi,

You can use "attempt capture" to try to collect the money from the customer CC,

and if it's another payment way (bank transfer and so on) - you can use "add payment" option to manually "pay" the invoice.

I used to wonder why this wasnt there, but when you get to do a lot of manual payment applications (as i do), you get to see pretty quickly why, because on the payment add tab there are things that need filling in. transaction id, payment amount, fees. etc.

If you just mark it as paid you cant add all these to the invoice.

yes true but if you dont need this like us your will really miss the marked payed button...

but why you then have such a button when you click on the invoice tab in a customer profile... there you are able to mark the invoice payed...

You could be right, it could be a missing step, but i think the option there is now saves an admin getting lazy and just clicking paid instead of completing the information.

I can see though that in some cases where there is no system accounting in this way a simple mark as paid button would be better. Maybe this should come along with a configuration option so that if you disable system accounting because you manage that else where then instead a simple paid button appears and the tab is removed.

hmmm i think the best is to bring up this button and let us admin choose if we hit it or not :)... should not be a big deal to implement such a button...

you are right it wouldnt be difficult to implement, I think the pay now buttons should be optional, a setting to turn them on if you use them would be ideal.
