Inform user of Fraud Call prior to placing call.

When using maxmind or other fraud modules that place a phone verification call, the user should be informed this will take place and confirm via checkbox or other field.

This should only apply if the order is flagged as fraud and the phone verification would take place, or if the product is listed in WHMCS fraud configuration to always require a phone verification.

If the user does not agree to the phone verification, the order is instantly fraud.

I've had users request the ability to re-request the fraud call because someone else answered the phone or there was a typo in their phone number. It would be useful to add a little more control to fraud orders and allow a customer to fix the problem. Its always better to try and complete orders if they are not actually fraud.

It's a good idea.

More, I think that an option should be offer to the client to change the phone number they entered. Most of my client will use their business phone number, that point to a IVR (interactive voice response) where you have to enter an extension number to reach them. In that case the fraud phone verification will fail and order marked as fraud.

I have this constantly requested. Most people don't have their phones by them all the time and we spend atleast double if not more on phone charges because maxmind calls go to voicemail and they have to re-order.

Maxmind is no longer doing fraud calls, they are phasing out this service.

Thanks for your suggestions and votes on this idea. Due to Maxmind discontinuing this service we will regrtabbly not have the oortunioty to imlement such a feature.
