eNom SSL Module to Use Product Description in Certificate Type field

jin shared this idea 3 months ago
Under Consideration

At present the eNom SSL Module uses the ProductCode value provided by eNom when populating the Certificate Type dropdown on the Module Settings tab.

Over time some of products have been re-branded but the ProductCode has not changed (ie. Comodo is now branded Sectigo, and Verisign is now branded Symantec)

It would make the process of configuring my SSL offerings easier if the ProductDescription was used instead. The descriptions contain the current brand name of products.

Since when does a module that is clearly broken become a feature request? It's absurd you open a Feature request in someone else's name. We pay for the module to operate properly and when it doesn't it is your responsibility to fix it so it does. So now when a feature doesn't work properly the users have to request it as a feature. Un-Frigging believable

Furthermore now users are supposed to walk around with a paper to cross reference the bad name your module shows with the proper name in order for them to add, modify or delete an offering? Try repairing your module with those entries I mean after all isn't that what our support money is supposed to be used for? Do me a favor don't open anything in my name!
