Premium Domain Support
Completed
Whois server list needs to be updated for new TLDs entering general availability and the eNom module needs to be updated to check if a domain is a premium domain upon ordering and treat those different -- either blocking them, changing their pricing, or notifying the customer to email to order.
We are pleased to advise that Premium Domains are now supported: http://docs.whmcs.com/Premium_Domains
Really need this fixed up ASAP especially with such a major feature/event in the world wide web.
We are loosing business get it sorted!
We developed a new domain checker which supports PREMIUM domains. Take a look at: http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?87994-High-Performance-DomainChecker-nTLDs-PremiumDomains-Categories&p=371090#post371090

Anthony, one thing that stops me from using your module is that it's encoded - I would much prefer something directly from WHMCS or at least opensource, sorry but it's hard to trust any code that's encoded (can easily be decoded and possibly compromised if written poorly).
We have recently released 2.0 version of Domain Orders Extended For WHMCS module. It supports the latest gTLDS and ccTLDS. Furthermore, it offers multiple domain lookup and checkout as well as domain spinner based on eNom, all that available from the client area with the entirely new domain order form. Check it out: http://www.modulesgarden.com/products/whmcs/domain_orders_extended/features
We need this - should be a core feature, not something from a 3rd party
We are an official WHMCS partner sol2010, so you can be sure that our solutions for WHMCS are really high quality.
Yet another aspect of the product that requires additional expense? I'm already paying for a product that is supposed to support domain registration as a core feature - why should I pay you? With all respect, I'm sure your product is good, but I want my Web Hosting Management and Control System to handle it!!!
You do not have to pay us, and we completely understand your point of view. In fact, you are right. Though, quite often it is not possible for software creator to implement every single functionality required by all clients. This is how the IT industry works. There are hundreds of different requests and it is not feasible to implement all of them at once. Some of them will be added within a month, some within a year and some will not be added at all. We are just trying to offer a possibilities to extend the functionality of the system, here and now. It is up to you whether you are willing to make use of them or not.
It should be integrated into WHMCS as it is a core functionality. Besides that, I use the Modulesgarden workaround "Domain Orders Extended" and really, they having trouble with getting it to work at all. Developers are changing, nobody seems to really care. Solutions to problems were given after weeks(!) and only after complaining at supervisor level and still not working 100% (but minor issues).
No need to discuss that, but that shows one more argument for taking that seriously into core functionality.
We are sorry to hear of your bad experience with our support services. We would like to solemnly assure you that we do our best to provide our clients with most comprehensive and efficient assistance. Unfortunately, since we are dealing with complex software products, in some cases problems are not evident and we are not able to find a solution on the fly. But under no circumstances it means that we do not care! After all, good relationship with our clients are our bread and butter.
Desperately need this - selling domains to clients which they can't have is annoying them, and creating extra admin with support tickets & refunds. Very bad for business. Please fix.
Guys, despite WHMCS staff telling me it is impossible to be charged for a premium domain, we had an order for a premium .social which attempted to charge our enom account $55,000. The only reason it failed is we didn't have enough credit in our account.
This is such a simple change as enom already states whether a domain is premium or not via the API.
The only reason I can think of that this has not already been implemented is that it's not a 'sexy' feature, like pretty order forms.
If the above comment is correct (which I have no doubt it isn't) this is a MASSIVE problem which needs to be resolved ASAP.
John, I was going to write a long message detailing exactly what happened, how WHMCS support dismissed the issue while telling me it was expected behaviour etc. but I'll just say this: proof is available upon request. Any WHMCS guys reading this, see ticket YRK-173272.
hi:
what is progress. really need this feature in WHMCS
It's been 2 years. Still nothing.
Discussion of third party modules is allowed. However linking to external sites is not.
There is a need of WHCMS to take a step into that direction. Two year up today is a very very long time..... The market evolves and you can not be far behind.
We have begun work on implementing support for selling Premium Domain's into the WHMCS product. You can expect to see this feature debut in WHMCS 7.1.
Is there an ETA on 7.1?
Any workaround so the WHMCS mark premium domains as Taken/not available ?
