Add M-Pesa and Jambopay mobile payment gateways in Africa
There is very little internet access in most countries on the African continent but significant adoption and use of mobile devices even in the smallest villages. Two July 2013 articles in the magazine "African Business" read:
1."Safaricom is upgrading M-Pesa to a new platform that will enable users to make instant payments of their bills and increase the rate of transactions tenfold. The first phase is expected to be completed by Chinese telecoms giant Huawei by the end of the year."http://www.safaricom.co.ke/personal/m-pesa/m-pesa-services-tariffs/relax-you-have-got-m-pesa
2. "Kenyan electronic payment firm JamboPay has won the Google innovation award in financial services. The five-year-old company provides a payment service that integrates mobile money and payment card technology. It has a customer base of 600 businesses locally and has expanded to the Tanzanian, Senegalese and Dutch markets."https://www.jambopay.com/
At this month's ICANN conference in Durban, M-Pesa was mentioned frequently as a successful model, with Kenya being noted as a country with more stable internet access than most. These payment gateways would seem to be a natural fit for a product with the price point of WHMCS.
