Ability to Automatic Surpress Exchange Rate Updating on a Product Level

PretecsChris shared this idea 6 years ago
Under Consideration

When you offer multiple currencies, I would like the ability to have products and addons (pretty much any product offered) that you can prevent automatic updating based on the current exchange rate.

For example, I want to charge a set price for (that ends in .99) for hosting account and addons like a dedicated IP, but I want to have domain pricing be updated based on current exchange rates.

Even for domains, I would want that I could turn automatic updating of domains on a TLD level on/off as some domains are purchased in other currencies than the one that is set as the main/base currency in WHMCS and to do manual updating of those.

In any case, I have a lot of manual updating currently when I run the currency update. I spend about an hour to undo what the automatic updating did.

2checkout has this feature, multicurrency if I am not mistaken.

Is there any way that I can select the BASE currency per product.

I enjoy having the prices change per the exchange rate automatically.

However, Some products/services are sourced locally(based on MXN), while other are sourced in the US(based on USD).

For the products/services sourced locally, i would like the MXN price to stay fixed and the USD price to fluctuate.

For the product/services sourced in the US, I woudl like the USD price to stay fixed and the MXN price to fluctuate.

Do have a patch or something that might help me out?

I have similar issue. My default currency is set to INR. I have some services that are

available at fixed price in USD and no other currency. Whenever price

update happens, USD currency gets disabled as there is no corresponding

INR price to it.Is it possible if there is no default currency price set for a product then USD price should stay unchanged. Also raised support ticket (#TPK-563585)

This is a real issue for those that done use USD as their default currency for all services. I know blesta.com have this feature and when I moved from them to whmcs.com I just assumed this feature was a given.

It would be just easier to have a currency set for each product, the default currency for the store and then a percentage margin set when performing the currency exchange.

I have similar issue with currency exchange auto update... unfortunately we dont want to disable this for all products, but would love to have an option to exclude any product/service from WHMCS currency exchange auto updates
