It will be great if WHMCS will send out an email to the client when the client's service is terminated automatically for non-payment. (similar to suspension)
I only see one problem with these messages, which is when the email belongs to the hosted domain that has been suspended or terminated :s
Has this been impltemented?
Has this been implemented at this time?
This is a very useful feature. Honestly it should not even be a feature to vote for. If WHMCS has put the termination feature in their software it should be obvious that the client would need to be notified of such an action having been implemented. The termination email isnt even difficult for WHMCS to include.
I agree, this is very usefull and should be added to WHMCS soon.
also option to send termination email manually.
I agree that this is very much needed for those wait until the very last moment customers.
But it should include the ability to send it X days before the actual termination routine is run i.e. Your account will be terminated in 3 days, All data will be deleted blah, blah, blah.
It's not possible to trigger a similar email using the Email Marketing features of WHMCS as there is no accurate point from which to send the email from. I tried sending the email X days after being suspended but before the termination period is reached and it just doesn't work unfortunately.
And not only for termination due to non-payment or TOS violation, but also when a client decides to simply ditch their site under good terms. i.e. Thanks for being such a great customer, come back again. :) Queue it prior to cancellation so that if the account email is domain-based, it will still go.
Obviously the email has to be worded to cover any scenario. I haven't thought it through beyond this, but the email generation could include the value of the reason for termination from a predetermined checkbox - which can determine the if/else copy of the email.
